Welcome to Kindergarten! The “first day of school” is a great milestone for your child. Students in our class will be learning social skills, routines, and what it means to be a self-directed learner. Children come to kindergarten with many different skill levels, abilities, and life experiences. I understand that you and your child may have met this day with excitement or apprehension (or a little of both).I encourage you talk about school and the exciting times students will have during the new school year.
I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Ashley Daley-Creamer and I will be your child’s kindergarten teacher for the several weeks that Mrs. Kilpatrick is away. I have been a supply teacher in the district for a few years now and I am very familiar with the kindergarten curriculum as I have been heavily involved in the Transition to Kindergarten Program in our district. I graduated with degrees in Arts and Education from the
My learning philosophy is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. I believe in hands-on experiences, learning creatively and learning though play. I am really looking forward to getting to know you and your child!
I am a firm believer in open communication between home and school as it is necessary for maximum school success. During my time with your child, I will communicate with you as much as possible. Students will have a BEE folder in which I will put any notes or reminders. This folder is to be returned each day and you may also use it to send me any notes as well. If there are ever any questions, comments or concerns please feel free to email me ashley.daley@nbed.nb.ca or at ashleydaleycreamer@hotmail.ca. I can also be reached through the school at (506)847-6206 or you can send me a note in your child's BEE folder.
Please be sure to check out the site links at the top of the page. These sites are all very fun and geared towards children in Kindergarten. Enjoy!
