We had a busy day on St. Patrick's day. We had a leprechaun visit and make us mini hats and we had measurement and addition Math stations with a leprechaun theme. Take a look below!
At this station students were given 8 leprechaun cut outs that they had to measure using a non-standard unit (cubes, paperclips, Popsicle sticks). |
At this station students were given leprechaun hat cut outs. They had to use these hats to measure their books bags, pencils, crayons etc. Luke had a book bag that was 13 hats long! |
At this station we did lucky number roll. Students used dice, rolled them, added the two numbers up and filled in a graph to see how many times they rolled that number. |
This last station was the class favourite. The kids were given a picture of a leprechaun. They had to use paperclips, dice, cubes, tiles, fingers, and Popsicle sticks to measure the leprechaun. |
