Elmhurst Outdoors

Hello Everyone!

Just a reminder that we will be having a field trip April 3rd. Our class will be visiting Elmhurst Outdoors to learn all about the sugar bush. Students have been reading many stories in class about the many many steps needed to turn sap from maple trees into delicious maple sugar, maple syrup etc.

Permission slips and money are due Wednesday April 27th (there is also a notice about this on the homework sheet). The kids are really looking forward to it! Stay tuned for pictures!

Volunteers!
Go Fish

Our Fairvale Grade One students will be performing a musical called "Go Fish" on Thursday, June 6th at 6:30pm. We are looking for any parents to help with the production. We will soon be working on our songs and choosing play parts.

We have the ideas, but we need the assistance to carry out collecting props, decorating, making headpieces etc.

If you are available to help, please meet us in the After school room on: Tuesday April 2nd at 12:30 p.m.

If you would like to help out, but can't make the meeting we will keep you updated as to future meetings.

Thank you, Sincerely Grade One Teachers

Coming Soon...

Welcome back everyone! It was great seeing all the kiddos today! They sure had a lot of stories to tell me about their break. Now that break is over we are gearing up for a busy couple of weeks ahead.

Grade 1-This Friday March 15th I will be testing the Grade 1 kids on all of their words of the week that they know so far. Keep practising those words-the Gr.1's are such great readers that I'm sure they will know all of their words lickity split!

Grade 2- Inuksuk projects will be on display in the library. The kids are very proud of their work. The projects have all been marked and those grades will be going home this week. This mark will be one of many that will go toward their You and Your World mark on the report card.

Look for both grades on video announcements this Thursday. Some of the kids will be sharing their Inuksuk projects and penguin reports!
