Thursday our Kindergartners will be introduced to their spirit squad. Each student from our class will get to leave our classroom for 45 minutes and go work with another teacher in their classroom. The teacher is in charge of his/her spirit squad for the 45 minutes. Each spirit squad consists of roughly 17 students from grades K-5. Each squad has a name. For example at our school we have the peach penguins, sky blue sharks etc...
Spirit squads meet once a month. We get together to promote school spirit, develop new friendships and we have fun! At the first spirit squad meeting we will be playing getting to know you games with our groups, creating a squad cheer and/or deciding on a mascot! Don't forget to ask your child what their squad color/mascot is tomorrow after school!
