Technology Mentor

We are so very fortunate that we have laptops and netbooks available to students at our school. Every Friday is laptop day in our class. The students practise their math homework for the following week on ixl.com, read on raz-kids and learn how to type on the dance mat typing game. Today Mr. Robichaud, a former Grade 5 teacher at Fairvale and now a technology mentor, came to our class to teach our kiddos a little bit about Microsoft Word. The kids learnt how to insert a table, copy and paste a picture from the Internet onto their word document, type a sentence, change the font size and save their work. They had a lot of fun and they had many questions for Mr. Robichaud. The kids loved having him here!
